Joints Painful

When it comes to describing joints most of us would say knees, ankles, wrists as joints. Besides these very obvious joints in our body there are other joints as well in our body. A joint in our body may be described as a place where two bones are meeting each other. Our body has more than 300 joints only our heads contain 86 joints. These joints help in the movement of our body parts. Any pain in the body is intolerable but when any condition leaves our joints painful it is even more intolerable because it restricts our movement.

Joint pain can be said as a tenderness which develops along with pain in the joints and inflammation. Arthritis is said to be one of the most common cause which renders the joints painful. It not only affects the knee but the rheumatoid form of it affects the fingers also. Injuries are another reason for painful joints. A number of diseases have joints painful as a symptom like mumps, hepatitis, influenza, etc. Sudden joint pains may result due to sprains resulting from sudden or sharp movements of the body parts.

Other cause which leaves joints painful is as follows: chronic fatigue syndrome in which the fatigue is severe and the does not subsides down with rests. Fibromyalgia which affects the neck region is also one of the important causes of joints pain. It results in stiffness of the joints. Other cause of joints pain is systemic lupus erythematosus(SLE). This is a disease which affects mostly women. Along with joints pain other symptoms of this disease is fevers, sore mouth and muscle pain. It may even cause severe irreparable damage to vital organs of the body.

A joint pain can lead to vast number of problems in human body. It could result in deformities of the joint bone. It could even lead to immobility of the human body as a result of joint damage. Ultimately it will reduce the level of the living of the people. The symptoms of joints painful are swelling, inability of the joint to bear weight, etc. Along with these some other symptoms which may occur are abdominal pain, fatigue, drying of mouth, fever as discussed above in the case of SLE. Some symptoms can point to severe conditions leading to failure of vital organs. These symptoms include chest pain, high fever, weight loss for no particular reasons and high fever.

Treatment for the Joints painful includes use of hot massage on the joints. Physiotherapy is said to the most effective way to reduce the joint pains. Over the counter anti-inflammatory drugs are also used to reduce the inflammation and the acute pain of the joints. The best treatment according to doctors is to take measures to prevent joints pain. Inclusion of exercise in the daily routine and intake of diet which nourishes the body and the bones should be on top of our daily charts. Taking appropriate rests also helps the joints to relax and in turn increases the life of the joints.
